Special highlights were the production and laboratory tours, which gave guests an insight into our work processes and technological advances. The roof terrace of the new building provided an impressive view over the entire site and an exciting journey through the history of WestWood.
At our exhibition stand, interested visitors were able to find out more about our latest products and innovations.
There were numerous activities for our young and old guests: A bouncy castle, a nail board, face painting and face painting for children, table football and a goal wall offered plenty of fun and entertainment. There was no shortage of fun!
Another highlight was our fundraising campaign for more sustainability with the aim of reforesting local forests. This campaign was supported by our visitors with great enthusiasm. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for making it possible for us to launch an exciting project on the topic of sustainability with various school classes and to reforest the Schaumburg forest. You are also welcome to participate in the reforestation with your donation! You can find all information about the campaign in this flyer: AUFFORSTUNG
A diverse selection of delicacies was also available: Food trucks, a barbecue station, ice cream, crêpes and refreshing drinks ensured that there was something for every taste.
In the evening, the open day turned into a relaxed evening event. From 18:00, Alexander and Klaus Westphal welcomed the guests and kicked off the cosy part of the evening with exciting news, including the announcement that WestWood is now the first PMMA manufacturer on the market to use sustainable, CO2-reduced tinplate packaging. The bluemint® recycled packaging steel enables over 258 tonnes of CO2 to be saved per year!
With delicious food, a DJ and a saxophonist, the party and dancing continued late into the night.
A big thank you to all the guests and dedicated employees who made this day so special. The event was a complete success and a worthy highlight of WestWood's 25-year company history.
